The Autodesk workshops are a global network of R&D facilities designed to drive positive transformation in the industries that design and create the world we live in. Visiting an Autodesk workshop is a truly engaging experience. Our challenge was to give visitors at AU the experience of visiting a workshop… without actually visiting one.

Developed specifically for Autodesk University, we created a large touchscreen experience that allowed users to immerse themselves in imagery, content and data from each location.
Not only did the experience engage users with the innovative projects taking place at each location, but by leveraging IOT technologies and Fusion Connect we were able to showcase some of Autodesk’s newest capabilities by displaying live environmental and machine data from Pier 9 in San Francisco, BUILDSpace in Boston and Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Birmingham UK.
The next phase of the project will see the experience installed in the lobbies of the workshops. We’ll also be taking the experience online by adapting it in to a fully responsive website.
