Torpedo was involved in this project from the start – from ideation to production. The concept was centred around collaboration and ‘sharing’ during the holiday season. To make this mailer exciting, each contact that received the mailer was encouraged to nominate a colleague so they too could receive a (very similar) direct mailer item.
The mailer contained a holiday card from the Territory Sales Manager and a giveaway item – a carved chocolate card that had been specially personalised with each contact’s name.
The chocolate card was produced using subtractive manufacturing tools and Autodesk software. Some mailers also contained a QR code that, when scanned, would take recipients to a personalised video, recorded by the Territory Sales Manager for each account.
The direct mailer asset was aimed to target 70 contacts in the UK, and it was also localised into German to target 74 contacts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
The feedback received was really positive. We’re waiting to receive ROI information however, we received great comments like the ones below:
“…the chocolate was very tasty, and some noted the very high level of personalisation”.
“This one worked nicely. I’ve been trying to engage the MD at [company] for months, but had not got any replies. Now he replied with the nomination and also acknowledged my previous emails and agreed to a call in the new year.”
