Excellence Awards Ceros Page 2021

Autodesk holds Excellence Awards for each industry (AEC, D&M, M&E) annually at Autodesk University (AU) in October. Traditionally this is a live event in Las Vegas however, like in 2020, in 2021 the awards were held digitally. The Excellence Awards celebrate the people, projects, and technologies behind exceptional contributions to each industry. Similarly, to the first virtual AU Excellence Awards, this year we were tasked with developing a central online experience where the winners could be announced, and their work showcased.

This virtual experience was created and hosted on Ceros, and was an upgraded version of the same page created for the 2020 event. It follows a similar format, but features Autodesk’s updated branding, which was launched in September 2021. The page dynamically displays the award winners, acts as an online location to exhibit the best projects from each industry and showcases the companies and people that are not only utilising pioneering technology but exploring innovative processes to reach new levels of development.

The new 2021 site incorporates lots of CTAs offering the user further information and the opportunity to delve further in the stories, as well as engaging video content. While being on one page, the new experience has multiple layers allowing the user to scroll down to get a snapshot of the stories, but they can then expand them and see other pages with more detail and content. This format has allowed the site to not only be user–friendly and full of information, but also, aesthetically pleasing to explore.
