Forge Intro and Highlight Videos for Autodesk University

Every year, Autodesk holds the Autodesk University (AU) event. In 2020, Autodesk decided to make this a virtual event. For this new purpose, the Forge team asked us to create two motion assets. First, an animation to act as an opening video for Forge classes and sessions, and secondly, an edited video to highlight all the sessions and activities that happened during the event.

Opening and Rewind Videos

The Forge opening video needed to be engaging and inspiring while also showcasing its main components (Data, Automation, AR/VR, Digital Twins, Convergence). Torpedo’s Motion Designer developed motion graphics to reflect every element.

The Forge at AU Rewind video was a recognition video. We compiled footage and assets from the whole event, with the goal of highlighting the winners and recapping the different activities (Keynote, Industry Keynotes, Bootcamp, Forge Fire Face-Off, Hackathon, and classes).

Both videos were developed following Autodesk University theme and guidelines.

Metrics

The Forge opening video was featured on the Forge Keynote. Across live broadcast, on-demand and social, it achieved:

10,751 views Total Keynote Views during the week of Autodesk University

11,529 views Total Keynote Views over 30 days

The Forge at AU Rewind video (which premiered on the last day of AU) was viewed 179 times over the 30 days after the event.
